Just a few days before the 2000 Presidential Election it was discovered that George W. Bush had been arrested and pleaded either no contest or guilty to a DWI charge. Now Darrell Issa (the guy I support for governor) has something ugly come out of the closet. Darrell, WHAT WERE YOU DOING NOT BEING UP FRONT? AN ARREST WAS GOING TO COME OUT. EVEN IF YOU ARE INNOCENT YOU LOOK GUILTY. One of the things that Americans (and even Californians) will do is give you a bigger break if you are honest and up front. George W. Bush would have won in a landslide in 2000. All the polls indicated this, especially the Zogby pole who took his poll after the weekend of the DUI revelation. Bush went from a landslide to Zogby having Gore ahead 48-46.
