I'm coming into this topic as a Dodger fan but I just can't believe King George screwed this one up. I just hope my friend Sharon will be OK. Pettite even took about $8-9 million less to go to the Astros. I'm wondering at the wisdom of Houston subtracting Billy Wagner to get Pettitte. Pettitte gives up a lot of hits and now doesn't have a great closer backing him up. The ballpark in Houston is not a pitchers' park. Andy Pettitte belonged in a Yankee uniform but King George would rather land quality people like Gary Sheffield.
Maybe may Dodgers will be able to take advantage of the Yankees and get a whole lot for Kevin Brown.

Even though I am a huge Kevin Brown / Dodgers fan, I also believe that the Dodgers would gain from a Brown trade. Latest rumor has Jeff Weaver, minor leaguers and cash in exchange for Brownie, with the Dodgers turning around and trading Weaver to the Cardinals for J.D. Drew.
