Mandy Moore

Kevin McCullough had James Hirsen on his show and they were talking about Mandy Moore. Although I'm not a big fan of her music she seems like a nice person and seems like a pretty good actress. Here are some reasons to like Mandy Moore:

  • She won't do nude scenes in movies
  • She won't take the low road in promoting her career
  • She did a great and fair portrait of a Christian in the movie "A Walk To Remember"
  • My wife loves "A Walk To Remember"
  • Mandy Moore likes Switchfoot
  • She made sure the music of Switchfoot had a prominent role in the movie "A Walk To Remember"
  • She sang a cheezy duet with Jon Foreman from Switchfoot
  • David Hasselhoff cried during the showing of "A Walk To Remember" at the premiere (Switchfoot witnessed this)
  • She's dating Andy Roddick, the #1 tennis player in the world and an American to boot
  • She covered a Switchfoot song, "Only Hope"
  • Most importantly my wife likes Mandy Moore

    She is very likable.

My only hope is that she will stay true to her convictions in that crazy world of Hollywood.

Eh, don't count on it. She's making a movie called "Saved" which sounded prettly viciously anti-evangelical.

    Plot Summary for
    Saved (2004)

A girl at a Southern Baptist high school finds that her pregnancy makes her an outcast. The film is a coming-of-age story and also a dark comedy. "It's like those monster vampire high school kind of movies, only here the monsters are Jesus-freak teenagers," says Michael Stipe, the R.E.M. lead-singer turned movie producer

    Got this from IMDB.COM...

One of the actors said something about somewhere about thinking the movie shows what Christianity "is really about", if I recall correctly.

    Oh goodie.
