America & Europe spend over $17 billion a year on pet food, but the whole world only spends $4.7 billion a year to fight AIDS.

I don't think we could count the billions spent on CDs, DVDs, and the rest. But here's another perspective point: The pornography industry generates about $10 billion in revenue annually.
