So I'm flipping through the channels this morning while eating first breakfast when I come upon an old Paul Simon video, "Boy in the Bubble". Cool video and next they play "You Can Call Me Al". It seems like I'd forgotten about this great album. Well, I'm listening to it now.
It is a great LP, but one thing that spoiled me for the title track was hearing a live version on Saturday Night Live" some years ago. I have that tape to this day, and have ported the song over to MP3. Simon sounds a bit more alive in his live performances the last few years... Inspiration, I guess.
