John McIntyre on Gay Marriage

RealClear Politics - Commentary

John McIntyre captures how I feel about this issue perfectly. Take a look.

Why should it come as no surprise that you would find this a great article. It's not the governments' job to teach your child the difference it is yours. If you want them to grow up a homophobe or a bigot, send them to a catholic school, where that would never happen. The problem with anyone against gay marriage is they fail to realize the vital point in the whole issue. It is discrimination at its most fundamental level. How would all hetros like it if they went to get married and they were told they couldn't because they liked the other sex. Just another example of how politics have fallen into the hands of the religous right wing and the tail is wagging the dog. Sometimes I could shoot all conservatives and then turn the gun on myself.

NOTE: As I'm sure all you conservatives will read this and crap your pants. I would never kill someone or myself. Sometimes this country is just depressing.

This is almost identical to the theme of the South Park episode "Tolerance Death Camp", where everybody bends over so much to be Tolerant (after a Museum of Tolerance opens up in town and activists ship the "intolerant" to "re-education centers") that the crazy/gay teacher (who's trying to get himself fired by grossing out his students with real sicko gay sex) finally loses it and screams how "PRAISING ME FOR WHATEVER I DO? THAT'S ACCEPTANCE! TOLERANCE MEANS YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT I DO BUT YOU'RE PUTTING UP WITH IT ANYWAY!"

(The B plot of the episode has to do with a gerbil's quest up the crazy/gay teacher's leather-boi partner's digestive system (courtesy of one of the grossout attempts), done as a parody of Balto II, with its Shirley Mac Laine-style spirit-vision quest.)

It's bad when you can't tell the real news stories from South Park...
