The Workers Lose

SignOnSanDiego.com > News > State -- SoCal grocery workers ratify tentative agreement, end strike

The poor workers get worked over by the union bosses. The workers missed almost five months of work and will NEVER make that money back again. How many of them had to take on such horrid debt that they will never recover from. Wake up rank and file, your union leaders do not have your best interests in mind. They care about their own pay, power and are shills for the Democratic party.

"Wake up rank and file, your union leaders do not have your best interests in mind. They care about their own pay, power and are shills for the Democratic party...."

But here's the problem. Who speaks for the average worker then? Kind-hearted executives whose primary goal is to make tons of money, not worry about workers and their families?

Let's play a little future game. Let's fire all the evil union leaders. Let's go to a future liberal blog entitled "Intact Masterpieces" :-) on March 1, 2005:

"Wake up rank and file, your corporate executives do not have your best interests in mind. They care about their own pay, power and are shills for the Republican party...."

It's about finding good leaders for whatever your union is, not that by definition "union leaders" are bad. Decent wages, decent working conditions, and decent health care benefits are expected nowadays in the U.S. They exist in most industries because of union leadership over the years.

You'd be foolish to trust a lot of corporate execs with your family's welfare.
