Newsmax - House Intel Chair: Clarke is 'Lying'

NewsMax.com: Inside Cover Story

Clarke’s testimony to our committee is 180 degrees out of line with what he is saying in his book," Rep. Porter Goss, R-Fla., told Roll Call yesterday. "He’s either lying in his book or he lied to our committee. It’s one or the other."

and

"If he was lying to a congressional committee, he's got a big problem here," Goss warned.

I'd like to believe the American people see past the transparent booty-covering that has gone on in the past week by various Clinton administration officials. I'd like to believe that Clarke's perfidy is going to backfire.

Challenge accepted. Do you REALLY think George Bush will want to release in total the pertinent documents to try to prove Clarke wrong? (Not just a select, slanted few.) Funny the way Condi won't go under oath on this one, huh? As the young kids say, "Bring it on, dude.

From Josh Marshall's blog today:
"Not only have [the Democrats] welcomed the release of Clarke's materials, they've called for the release of more documents, correspondence and testimony from him and Rice."
