Kerry Crying, Again

Tip to Drudge.

Yahoo! News - Kerry Hits Back at White House, Defends Patriotism

Kerry told the crowd of more than 5,000 that "asking questions about the direction of our country is patriotism."

Despite the fact nobody has questioned his patriotism he continues to decide how to define how he's a patriot. The only thing that Republicans are questioning is his voting record on defense. Why are so many Democrats defensive about their patriotism? Ted Kennedy can say horrible things about President Bush but someone questions some key defense votes and they howl "they are attacking my patriotism". If you can't defend your record then get out of the business.

Unfortunately in this messy political system, sometimes --- a lot of times --- you cry "Foul!" just to make your opponent look like he or she is attacking you unfairly. Which in itself is an unfair attack.

Kerry is as dumb as a fox here.

Kerry doesn't pull off the act very well though.

I do question Kerry's judgement when he testified before Congress that letting the Communists takeover Viet Nam wouldn't be so bad. Since Kerry has brought up Viet Nam on every conceivable occasion, this is so fair game, and I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.

And as long as he wants to go on and on about his Viet Nam service, I think his term of service should be statistically compared to the term of service of the average Viet Nam veteran, and the circumstances of his medals compared statistically to the circumstances of similar medal winners.
