These days there are even some people who can make a living at least partially through blogs, like an Andrew Sullivan or Josh Marshall. I'm not sure if they're at the top or bottom of a "food chain." Who knows, some day you'll have enough readers that punch a PayPal contribution button that you'll make some degree of income from "Broken Masterpieces." And to me your blog can be considered very worthwhile daily work. Occasionally the blog can break into rants and dumb arguments (oh yes, I'm guilty from the Left!), but maybe most importantly it's a place for people to chat, think, agree, disagree, and overall to try to improve our world. That's valuable work to show your children.
