Quick Thoughts

Work has been extremely busy the last few days and will stay that way for the next couple of days (lots of half days, thats 12+ hours per day) so I've been a bit out of touch and the blog has been neglected. Here's just some random things on my minds since I can't sleep:

  • I'm already tired of former President Clinton. The man needs real love (not the Monica kind). In some ways he just makes me mad; seemingly to take responsibility for some of his Monica love then goes and blames everyone else. I'm sorry but Ken Starr is not to blame Mr. Clinton. This is a damaged man and it is sad to see but even sadder that he was actually the President of the United States.
  • People who grow up wanting to be President is not a good reason for them to be President. Kerry, Clinton and Gore are that type.
  • Michelle Malkin is the blog I most frequently read.
  • Thanks to Shaq for 3 championships for the Lakers and best of luck wherever he goes.
  • Senator Leahy, you bash Cheney at every chance you get. It's been beyond politics then you try and be friendly. I don't endorse Cheney dropping the f-bomb but I understand.
  • I met Neophyte Pundit at church. It was great to finally run into him. I found him signing in his son for church. It was funny, I just looked over some dude's shoulder to see if it was something I needed to fill out and the last name was familiar. Way cool.
  • So much going on in Iraq, why does the press only report the bad news.
  • My rate of SPAM to real email is about 20 to 1.
  • I'm going surfing this Sunday for the first time in about 12 years.
  • The Bush-haters reviewing the latest Michael Moore "documentary" are writing rave reviews. Go figure.
  • I'm still sick of the campaign for President.
  • Looking forward to Spider-Man 2 but still haven't seen Shrek 2.

re: "I'm already tired of former President Clinton."

I'm not sure how to describe it to Republicans. But generally us Dems remember the Clinton years as a time of relative peace, prosperity, balanced budgets. We hated Bill's personal weakness, but hated too that the Republicans seemed so jealous of President Clinton's popularity and successes that they did whatever they could to destroy him. Try to just give him the two weeks of celebrity that us Dems grudgingly accorded President Reagan's passing. It's not easy, I'm sure, and Bill would say (irritatingly), "I feel your pain." It'll be over soon. Look on the bright side: Hillary won't run until 2008.

re: "The Bush-haters reviewing the latest Michael Moore 'documentary' are writing rave reviews. Go figure."

Try to understand how we Dems feel when we watch Bill O'Reilly or unwittingly turn to Rush on the AM dial. "Michael Moore is loud, biased, twists facts to his advantage, and is abrasive to those on the opposite side of the political spectrum." Okay, go to that last sentence and substitute in Bill O'Reilly or Rush Limbaugh instead of Michael Moore. Now feel my pain.

Hey President Clinton and Michael Moore aren't important. You have a kindergarten graduate. You're working hard at your job to support your family and are being a good example to that little graduate. That's what's important, in my opinion.

There's a big difference between the passing of a former President and a former President getting paid $12 million for a book. There's a big difference. Clinton is seeking publicity and trying to change history. President Reagan, a man who changed history, died.

You are correct about what is important.
