Kerry Pandering To The Wrong People

New York Post Online Edition: Ralph Peters - Reverting to Form, Kerry's Pandering to a New Enemy

But Kerry doesn't want to see those things. He's reverting to form. Just as he lied about our troops three decades ago, encouraging our enemies of the day and worsening the suffering of our POWs in North Vietnam, today he's pandering to a new enemy.

John Kerry, the cut and run candidate. He never learned the lesson from Vietnam about what it means to support our soldiers. Helping to embold the enemy by advocating an early pull-out just lets the enemy wait us out.

Headline MSNBC 9/16/04: "U.S. intelligence paints bleak picture in Iraq...Pessimistic assessment warns of more unrest...."
"...Along with a recent spike in deadly violence in Iraq, a classified U.S. government report paints a bleak picture of Iraq's immediate future...the CIA's in-house think tank, warns that the worst-case scenario over the next year is that Iraq could collapse into civil war...."

New York Post columnist Ralph Peters takes another hit off his bong, swigs his bottle of Jack Daniels, and writes: "...Today, we have a presidential candidate, the conscienceless Sen. John Kerry, doing the work of the enemy propagandists of yesteryear. Is there nothing Kerry won't say to win the election? Is there no position he won't change?...why is he broadcasting remarks that insist — against all hard evidence — that the terrorists are winning?...."

Yes that's right! Per Ralphy---The CIA and John Kerry..."doing the work of the enemy propagandist of yesteryear..."

Dear Ralph "Delusional" Peters---I'm sure there's an opening at the Betty Ford Center. Next it's pink elephants you'll see.

re: MSNBC quote - "worst-case scenario over the next year is that Iraq could collapse into civil war"

If we continue to show that we won't support the Iraqi freedom then this will be a prophecy fulfilled. They'll just wait us out like the North Vietnamize did 31 years ago.

I don't think Senator Kerry is saying he doesn't support Iraqi freedom. He's saying the same thing these two guys are:

"...Even Republicans are starting to voice their concerns about the unfolding disaster. When asked on CBS's 'Face the Nation' whether the U.S. was winning the war in Iraq, Senator Chuck Hagel, a Nebraska Republican, said, 'No, I don't think we're winning.' He said the U.S. was 'in deep trouble in Iraq' and that some 'recalibration of policy' would be necessary to turn things around...Senator John McCain, the Arizona Republican, said on "Fox News Sunday": 'The situation has obviously been somewhat deteriorating, to say the least.' He said 'serious mistakes' have been made and that most of them 'can be traced back to not having sufficient numbers of troops there.' "

No, Republican Senators Hagel and McCain (I'd bet McCain understands your point about Vietnam) and Democratic Senator Kerry aren't saying they don't support Iraqi freedom. They're saying we're going to lose this thing unless someone pokes President Bush out of his misleading happy talk stupor.
