CNN.com - Kerry accuses Bush of lying about debate - Oct 2, 2004

"George Bush lost the debate," an announcer says in a television ad Kerry's campaign unveiled Saturday. "Now he's lying about it."

Nice!

Just watched the ad over at Johnkerry.com, and it's not clear what statements by President Bush it's referring to. I have to assume that it is referring to this ruckus:

"...Bush contended that the Kerry approach to foreign policy would give other governments veto power over the security of the United States, a partisan interpretation of Kerry's debate statement that pre-emptive strikes require a "global test where your countrymen, your people understand fully why you're doing what you're doing, and you can prove to the world that you did it for legitimate reasons...."

Only going on what CNN has, then this claim of Bush appears to be a lie. And I mean "lie" in the sense that Bush knows full well that Kerry won't allow foreign countries to veto US security.
