Spotlight - Laird Hamilton

First spotlight is on Laird Hamilton, surf legend. He's invented or pioneered new techniques in surfing that has enabled him and other big wave surfers to reach new heights never imagined. The picture below is from Teahupoo, Tahiti in 2000 when he caught the best wave any surfer has ever caught. To catch some more amazing photos check out Tim McKenna's sight.

Don't miss the trailer. Makes me feel old.

Is he related to the adorable young female surfer, Brittany Hamilton? She is the one the shark bit off her arm. What a testimony she has.

Nope, no relation to Brittany Hamilton. She is amazing in her own way.

This is a beautiful picture of Laird Hamilton. Is there any way to purchase a copy of this?

I have been searching for this picture.. whether it be the SURFER mag that it was in or just a poster. This picture is considered the greatest surf picture of all time. I saw this on film in the movie RIDING GIANTS. Let me know if anybody knows a website
