I don't get the conservative fascination with this issue. Florida state law is clear that, in cases like this, it is the spouse and not the parents that make the decision to remove the feeding tube.

The family's objections have no basis in law, medicine, or common sense. I don't know why people don't get this.

Mr. Chemist,

Have you seen the video of Terri with her parents? She's clearly alive not just laying there in a complete vegetative state.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mr. Chemist,

Are you ignorant or stupid?

Florida Law also has plenty of clearity on abuse and neglect, yet Judge Greer continues to ignore the mounting evidence of abuse with affidavits dating back to 1993 and that Terri, while severly debilitated, is NOT in a vegetative state. People in vegetative stated don't cry out when told their feeding tube is being pulled nor do they wince when pain is inflicted. Furthermore, unlike the 4 euthenasia advocates Greer allowed testimony from, 6 neurologists and several other MD's who have spent more time than 45 min with Terri say she is not in a vegetative state. Also, the Honorless Greer ignores the fact that, unlike a ventilator, food and water is no more life support than you or I need.

What I don't get is the liberal compassion for convicted child-molesters, serial killers, enemy combatants, terrorists, and animals when they can't even muster a little compassion for an innocent American woman being tortured to death in a way we wouldn't even be able to do to Stalin or Hitler.

PS Check the facts before you open your mouth and assume the predetermined liberal stance of "against whatever conservatives are for." If you aren't outraged by this, then you have no heart.
