CNN Goes To Catholics In Name Only For Thoughts On Pope

In a time of great sadness, when a great leader of the Roman Catholic Church is dying, Paula Zahn goes to Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend for insight. People like Kennedy-Townsend are not in the good graces of the Roman Catholic Church, according to this Pope, yet the MSM goes to the CINOs (Catholic In Name Only). Nothing like agenda driven media. They just don't get it. If you don't like what the Roman Catholic Church believes then leave and start your own or find a church that holds your beliefs.

I don't believe Pope John Paul II ever held a belief like that.

He'd not have wanted them to leave but to conform to the teachings. What you stated is my opinion.

Please keep in mind, Tim, that this is the same media that has continually reported that we American Catholics are upset with the church because they won't change their teachings to be more modern.

I actually heard Anderson Cooper (CNN) tell a Bishop that Pope John Paul II could have "made it easier for Americans if he would have changed some of the Church's teachings."

What the media and, sadly, many Christians don't realize is that our conscience is to be formed and shaped around Truths, not simply what would be easier or make us more "comfortable." If we find that our conscience does not match a truth, it is our obligation to reform our conscience, not look to the church to change its teaching.
