Featured Artist - Nickel Creek

Nickel Creek...I'm putting this entry under "Music - San Diego" because this next amazing band (#2 in the series of 3 groups referred to me by Heidi Y.) is actually 2/3 from Vista, California...right here in San Diego County! Might I add they are also Grammy winners, and legends in their ever evolving genre of "Newgrass"...a comfortable mix of catchy folk, and blue grass music.

Masters of their instruments at only 11 or so, they formed after Sara and Sean (brother and sister) met Chris from a smaller mountain town north of here. They've done their thing for 10 years maybe, and are now forever a staple in the bluegrass scene. Their mentor/producer is Allison Krause, and they have recorded with Dolly Parton and the Dixie Chicks.

If you know me, I'm far from a country boy. So I know that anybody who appreciates catchy, yet complicated (and even simple at times) music, you'll LOVE Nickel Creek.
