Turn Off Your Cell Phone In Church

This morning, while the pastor was asking people about making a decision for Christ, someone's cell phone started to ring. It was real loud and just not good. Please turn off your electronic equipement before going into a house of worship. Even better, leave them in your car.

Bill Hybels, senior pastor at Willow Creek Community Church outside Chicago decided to confront the issue in this way: He said that if anybody's cell phone went off during the service, they would have to drive over to Little Caesar's down the road and buy pizza for the entire congregation. (Willow Creek seats thousands every Saturday night and Sunday morning.) One churchgoer later noted that, after Hybels made the deal with the congregation, he calculated what purchasing enough pizza to feed the entire congregation would be. When he saw the total, he not only turned his cell phone off, he took the battery out.
