Cunningham Pleads Guilty

Tip to Drudge.

BREITBART.COM - Calif. Congressman Admits Taking Bribes

Cunningham, 63, entered pleas in U.S. District Court to charges of conspiracy to commit bribery, mail fraud and wire fraud, and tax evasion for underreporting his income in 2004.

The confession of Duke Cunningham is very sad. This is an ace in Vietnam, Mr. Top Gun and a man who I know loves Christ. This just shows that any person can fall. I just hope that this confession will help him get his life back together. I met him a few years ago and he was a pretty nice guy.

Hey Tim,

How do you know he loves christ. It is an OUTRAGE! An outrage that he would accept bribery. The republican party is supposed to be different than the dems and christians are supposed to be different than the world. Unfortunately, republicans spend just a little less than the democrats (i'm not talking spending), and apparently accept bribes. If we fault the Ted Kennedy's of the left, then we should be ashamed when this happens to one of our own. I don't want to sound judgemental in the least, but this man held public office and thus is subject to this criticism.

CONGRESS IS BECOMING TOO CUSHY

Of course he should be subject to criticism and his acts are shameful and disgusting. Cunningham came to a church I used to attend before he became a congressman. He has a testimony (that is now majorly screwed up) and this is an example to all that anyone can be corrupted. This is a legendary Navy pilot and a man who probably joined congress to do some good. Look what has happened. Again, a lesson to all.
