Broken Masterpieces

Yes, I'm Still Here

I've been quite busy and have been suffering from a bit of writers block. Here's some thoughts:

  • Just started How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth. I've also been reading The Sacred Romance: Drawing Closer to the Heart of God, The Journey of Desire: Searching for the Life We've Only Dreamed of and Addiction & Grace
  • I watched more of the Daytona 500 than in a few years (the passion I had for the race died on 2/18/01). I'm kind of a Tony Stewart fan but was a bit disappointed in his behavior on the track. He only hurt himself by getting penalized.
  • It's terribly disappointing that Switchfoot doesn't get played on the local stations much. The so-called alternative stations (91X and 94.9 are especially guilty. To hear the latest single check out http://myspace.com/switchfoot and check out We Are One Tonight.
  • Lot's of Little League practice. Both my sons are playing and I'm an assistant coach for both teams. It's a good time and a great way to be part of the community. Go Indians! Go White Sox!
  • God performed a miracle in my family. There was a miraculous healing of broken relationships. God is good all the time.
  • We're getting some great teaching from both North Coast Calvary Chapel and Green Valley Church.
  • I've been pretty faithful in the morning to reading Our Daily Bread and The Daily Psalm.
  • Just got Zondervan NIV Wide Margin Bible because both churches I attend read from the NIV. I am converting from the NASB but need large margins because my writing is so bad.
