Gore - Do As I Say, Not As I Do

USATODAY.com - Gore isn't quite as green as he's led the world to believe

Graciously, Gore tells consumers how to change their lives to curb their carbon-gobbling ways: Switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs, use a clothesline, drive a hybrid, use renewable energy, dramatically cut back on consumption. Better still, responsible global citizens can follow Gore's example, because, as he readily points out in his speeches, he lives a "carbon-neutral lifestyle." But if Al Gore is the world's role model for ecology, the planet is doomed.

Neither side has convinced me about global warming, but Al Gore has so little real credibility. If he really believed we've only got 10 years to make changes then he's not acting like it.

Hat Tip to Drudge.

I've read Schweitzer's book "Do As I Say, Not As I Do". It just confirms my basic understanding of liberalism. Their definition of doing anything is getting OTHERS to do it. Living carbon-neutral? Get OTHERS to give up their SUVs. Help the poor? Get OTHERS to give their money. Support wind generated power? Let OTHERS put up with the windmills in their back yard. And by "get others to do it", that usually means with coersion by government power.
