MSNBC/Newseeek - A Shot At Modesty

This MSNBC/Newsweek describes an attempt to teach young ladies a bit about modesty. It seems to set too many hard standards but is worth a shot. More than once I've gotten a thong shot from the girl/woman in front of me in church. Dang ladies, leave a little to the imagination. Heck moms, clothe your girls.

I don't think that article set anything close to too hard of a standard or too many for that matter. What's hard about wearing a longer skirt or not dressing like a slut? I think it's great that the culture is beginning to encourage women to treat the men around them and themselves with more respect. Girls wonder why many men treat them as sex objects and I wonder what else they expect when they are deliberately trying to show as much skin as they can and, as you said, leave nothing to the imagination. No guy's going to go "Oh what a wonderful young lady, I should treat her with respect!" when they're hanging out of their shorts and tops!

I don't think that article set any standards that are too high for girls to follow. I'm glad the culture is beginning to encourage women to treat the men around them and themselves with more respect.
