Medved - Six Big Lies About John McCain

Townhall.com::Six Big Lies About John McCain::By Michael Medved

As one of the front-runners for the Republican nomination I think it's important to look closer at John McCain. Unlike some other candidates who are now conservative, McCain actually has acted like a conservative for the most part. McCain is also pragmatic. We need to look at who can beat Hillary or Obama in 2008, not who is the most perfect conservative. Neither Huckabee, Giuliani nor Romney can boast of a record as being a practicing conservative. All of these guys, including McCain have some conservative moments but NONE of them are true conservatives, no matter what the candidates may say. Let's get over the "who's most conservative" and get to who can beat Hillary or Obama. I'm leaning towards McCain in that area.

If we vote McCain in and he goes on to pass an amnesty bill like the one he pimped last year, it will lead to the destruction of this country faster than the effects of any other issue.

Unless something changes, I'm leaning the same way. I would love to see a Clinton/McCain debate. Talk about Bill biting his lower lip after that debate-he'd be so upset when Mr. McCain wiped the floor with her that lower lip would be completely gone!

Good points. Thanks Tim
