Terrorists hope to defeat Bush through Iraq violence – The Washington Times: World – October 27, 2004

“If the U.S. Army suffered numerous humiliating losses, [Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John] Kerry would emerge as the superman of the American people,” said Mohammad Amin Bashar, a leader of the Muslim Scholars Association, a hard-line clerical group that vocally supports the resistance.

Doesn’t this matter to anybody? Our enemies are doing horrible things in Iraq so they can get rid of George W. Bush. I gotta be honest, if Kerry wins he’d better back up his tough talk with real actions. Regretfully, his past 33 years indicate something else.

    I don’t know who the heck these guys are that the Washington Times is quoting. They might be as grounded in reality like Sun Myung Moon, who runs that newspaper.

    But where do you want to pull the quote out of this article? Me, the knee-jerk liberal wacko with admittedly my Dem blinders on, could only see this quote:

    “…The most pro-Bush, he said, are the foreign extremists. ‘They prefer Bush, because he’s a provocative figure, and the more they can push people to the extreme, the better for their case.'”

    Which to me says the most dangerous MFs of these fascist-killer-toiletscum want Bush re-elected for their recruitment posters.

    You are 100% correct IMHO even in my Dem-centric universe. Or we throw him out in 2008 when McCain runs.
