Summarizing the Bridge to Nowhere

September 9th, 2008 · No Comments

The Corner on National Review Online.

That’s fair enough, though it is of course the opposite of what John Kerry did: he came around to the wrong position, she to the right one. But more importantly, Barack Obama himself (as well as Joe Biden) never did come around. They both voted for the bridge, twice. John McCain voted against it and also tried (unsuccessfully) to attach a resolution expressing opposition to such earmarks to the bill that contained the bridge project. Sarah Palin killed the project.

Bottom line on the “Bridge to Nowhere” is that Obama and Biden were always wrong about it, McCain was always right about it and Palin killed the project.  What matters is that she was right in the end.
