It is outrageous what is occuring with the Padres. Trading Jake Peavy and Khalil Greene is stupid. Peavy is one of the top five starters in baseball and trading Greene while his market value is low. Both of these are salary dumps and Padre fans don’t deserve this. The whole Trevor Hoffman things stinks. He’s [...]

Dodgers Off-Season 2008-2009
November 14th, 2008 · No Comments
Now that the baseball off-season is really ready to roll here’s my thoughts on what the Dodgers need to do. Of course, I was glad they signed Jason Schmidt and Andruw Jones so take me with a grain of salt. I still like to go on the record so here it is….

Padres Are Classless

FOX Sports on MSN - Ken Rosenthal - Big Unit’s days with D-backs could be numbered.
Hoffman, 41, was the face of the franchise, a pillar of the San Diego community, a Padre since 1993. Yet, according to sources, the team pulled its offer — and reduction in salary from $7 million to $4 million — [...]

NLDS Game 3: Dodgers 3, Cubs 1 - Inside the Dodgers.
Fortunately, I was quite wrong about the Cubs but my point about Rafael Furcal was spot on. The Dodgers continue their amazing play over the last month and are now waiting to play either the Phillies or Brewers. I’m really pulling for the Brewers to [...]

MLB Post-Season Analysis
September 30th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Other than the disaster that has been the San Diego Padres it’s been quite a season. Some of the huge mid-season trades have truly altered the season and the Rays have been a great surprise. Here’s my look at the teams in the playoffs.

Tommy LaSorda - The Great Escape
September 8th, 2008 · No Comments
My youngest son and I went to see the Dodgers lose to the Padres tonight. We saw Tommy LaSorda so we tried to meet him at the end of the game. Some folks got a bit jerky so Tommy escaped before we could meet him. I don’t blame him for getting out. See the action [...]

The Dodgers are Killing Me
August 10th, 2008 · No Comments
These guys are killing me. If they lose the division they can look back on this weekend against the evil Gints.
Dodgers fall to 58-59 and 1 1/2 behind the Snakes, less than 24 hours after they were three outs away from vaulting into the division lead.

ESPN.com - Giles exercises veto of Boston deal, will remain with Padres.
San Diego Padres right fielder Brian Giles officially exercised his veto power and blocked a waiver deal Friday that would have sent him to the Boston Red Sox.
I’m a bit disappointed in Giles. Yes, family is very important but if Giles really wanted [...]

Padres Fans Boo Hoffman
It doesn’t matter how bad Trevor Hoffman pitches there is no reason for Padres fans to boo him. That just blows. Shame on those “fans”.
