Tip to Drudge. My Way News - Bush Pulls Top Security Agent From Fracas Most "protected" people would have just run away. Bush goes and helps his protector. Bravo! UPDATE: From the Article: As Bush stepped inside, Chilean agents closed ranks at the door, blocking the president's agents from following. Stopping for more pictures, Bush noticed the fracas and turned back. He reached through the dispute and pulled his agent from the scrum and into the building. There are many reasons why some of us think Bush is a pretty darn good guy. UPDATE 2: Just saw the video on CNN. I like Bush even more. Tip to Drudge. My Way News - Card to Remain Bush's Chief of Staff-Officials This is great news and keeps some flow and continuity within the administration. Tip to Drudge, again. MSNBC - Bush's agenda could top $3 trillion "He's a big-government Republican, and there's no longer even the pretense that he's for smaller government," Moore said. Well said. Stop the SPENDING! UPDATE: Good catch by S. King. This article is heavy in complaining that Bush's "spending" is really tax cuts and changing social security. My point, in my rush to post before heading to a ad-hoc meeting, is that Bush has brought in a lot of extra true spending. Spending on defending the country is good, especially after being caught with our pants down on 9/11. Give aways like the medicare "reform" are things that I don't like spending money on, especially when it turns into an entitlement. Bush's notice of $2.3 billion in reductions won't do it. The deficit and the debt do matter and he needs to get on board. I can't wait to read Joe Scarborough's new book "Rome Wasn't Burnt In A Day". George W. Bush is making a huge mistake in not attending the NAACP convention. Yes, the leadership is filled with a bunch of race-baiting, partisan hacks but what about the membership that Bush is now avoiding? He should go and speak the truth about how people like Julian Bond (he shouldn't name them) use certain tactics to scare the NAACP membership. For the next two weeks Bush will be smashed by the media, who won't bother to explain the aweful words used by the NAACP leadership, as being racially insensitive. CNN.com - Bushes decline twin daughters' graduation ceremonies - May 6, 2004 Good for Bush. Courtesy of RealClearPolitics. www.AndrewSullivan.com - Washington's Woodie I have not read the latest book (I will soon) but if the same George W. Bush emerges from this book that emerged from the last Woodward book (Bush at War) then it's all good. The words "honorable discharge" should be the only answer needed to be given by George W. Bush. With a hat tip to Powerline points us to HobbsOnline that answers the question through all the comments. Included are the relevant documents. Heck, I say let the Democrats push the issue. They are the ones that defended Bill Clinton's military "record". This is a loser for them. Bush Is Said to Seek More Money for Arts Why this? Talk about a waste of money and will only anger culteral conservatives. Bush to propose spending freeze - The Washington Times: Nation/Politics As I just read the article about George Soros i could see the hatred for Bush. It seems that the main thing opponents of Bush and Ashcroft don't like about them is that they have a clear view of right and wrong. Bottom line, they do believe in right and wrong based on their faith. So many people cannot accept that someone can believe in absolutes. Well, a lot of us do including our President and Attorney General. They believe that the terrorists are bad guys and must be confronted and stopped. It doesn't matter to them (relatively speaking) what the root cause is because no matter the root cause, they are bent on killing more people. In fact, they would be negligent in their duties if they weren't going after the terrorists, now knowing how they can strike. The first few weeks after 9/11 it seemed that most people, except the ACLU types, understood who the good guys and bad guys were. We had moral clarity. Thank God that President Bush and his administration still does. With a tip of the hat to Real Clear Politics, go check out this bit of humor about the Bush haters. According to this article in the Financial Times, Don Rumsfeld looks like he's out of the loop. I love the guy and he's been courageous in trying to revamp the Pentagon. It looks like he's made too many enemies. I expect him to leave by the end of the year. http://www.kbtoys.com/genProduct.html?PID=2431939&ctid=17&ls=toys&_ts=nNovember 21, 2004
